Vakkaru Maldives is a new dream island in the Maldives. The island lies in the middle of the UNESCO biosphere reserve the Baa Atoll, surrounded by its very own living house reef, including three unique „blue holes“. The long white beaches, an intact nature and seemingly endless views of the blue-shimmering ocean create magical moments. Guaranteeing a holistic break – undisturbed, completely relaxed and well cared for.

There are a total of 125 villas of different types – beach bungalows as well as Overwater Villas. They all share the common trait of privacy and a minimum space of 114 square meters. The design is the perfect combination of local architecture with plenty of natural elements, but with a modern twist. Four restaurants and two bars take you on a journey around the globe. The list of activities is long – there are even tennis and badminton courts, a rarity for the Maldives. Vakkaru Maldives generally shows, the island nation is great for a family vacation. Youngsters are taken care of in the Parrotfish Club, while adults endulge in the overwater oasis, that is the Merana Spa. Translated Vakkaru means coconut wood – a very accurate name, indeed. There are around 2.000 grown coconut palmtrees on the island. Vakkaru Maldives was opened late 2017.
